Job Description

 

Rocky Mountain Veterinary Cardiology (RMVC) currently has an opening for a full time certified veterinary technician who is self-motivated, enjoys working in a fast paced environment and has a desire to further their cardiology knowledge.

 

This position will be based out of RMVC’S Englewood location at the Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado (VRCC). The cardiology department at VRCC is very busy and sees frequent emergencies. While specific cardiology experience is not essential for this position, emergency and/or specialty experience is preferred. A strong nursing background with a high standard of patient care and attention to detail is essential.

 

This position will include in-patient nursing care, client education and support, assisting with echocardiograms, electrocardiograms and centesis procedures. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be trained in advanced cardiology care including pacemakers and fluoroscopy operation.

 

The qualified candidate must thrive in a busy atmosphere while demonstrating the ability to utilize down time effectively. We have a wonderful team at VRCC and we are looking for that special person with the above experience and a positive, friendly attitude.

 

A minimum of two years veterinary technician experience is required for this position.
